Exploring the Internet Archive Headquarters
The Internet Archive recently celebrated a major milestone: 1 trillion web pages archived. The Internet Archive is the non-profit organization behind the Wayback Machine and archive.org. But the Internet Archive is much more than a website, it's a physical place right here in the Richmond District. Every Friday at 1pm, they open their doors for a public tour. We recently visited for the tour for our first extended article here.

The Legendary Lisa Fischer at SF Jazz
On December 7 we were lucky to catch the last performance of Lisa Fischer and the Orrin Evans Trio at SF Jazz. Going to SF Jazz is always a special experience and a chance to dress up a little and mingle with some true jazz afficionados. The auditorium is beautifully designed with excellent acoustics, and there’s not a bad seat in the house.
Lisa Fischer is a renowned two-time Grammy-winning singer-songwriter who performed with The Rolling Stones and Luther Vandross prior to becoming a solo artist. She also featured in the Oscar-winning documentary 20 Feet From Stardom. Orrin Evans is an accomplished Philadelphia pianist, composer, and producer who has been Grammy-nominated three times for his work with The Captain Black Big Band. On this evening we were treated to Lisa’s versions of soul songs by Stevie Wonder, Roberta Flack, The Beatles and more.
SF Jazz offers many opportunities to see top-tier groups and artists in a world-class venue.
