🌁 Little Zines and SF Chocolate Salon

Today I attended my first San Francisco Chocolate Salon and Festival, which also happened to be the 20th anniversary of the sweet salon. Held at the Hall of Flowers in the San Francisco County Fair Building, the event is an incredible deal for chocolate lovers.

Last Saturday, the San Francisco Public Library hosted a punk show. I'll admit, walking into the library for a punk show felt strange. Aren't libraries the one place on earth where you're expected to be quiet? When I went downstairs to the auditorium, it was loud as hell.

After catching the punk show at the San Francisco Public Library, I stopped by the zine-making tables set up right outside the auditorium. Thinking about this reminded me of a specific collection in the San Francisco Public Library that I'd been meaning to check out: the Little Zine Library. This week, I finally made time to browse the collection.

If you haven't seen one yet, Trinket Trade boxes are small, decorated plastic boxes that have been appearing on sidewalks around San Francisco. The first one appeared in the Outer Sunset, but there are now trinket boxes in the Inner Sunset, Noe Valley, the Castro, the Richmond, and beyond. This week, I stopped by the Central Richmond Trinket Box to check it out.
