Spooky Season in the Inner Richmond.
Halloween trick-or-treaters were out in full force in our favorite neighborhood in the city. We saw a big increase in trick-or-treaters compared to the previous two years (lots of Minion costumes!) between the hours of 6 p.m. and 9 p.m. San Francisco is an early-night kind of town, and the trick-or-treating was no exception. To this resident’s surprise, Nerds candy was extremely popular with the kids. Next year, we might need to buy an extra bag of candy!

Happy Halloween
Mexican coffee in Lakeside Village
While exploring the commercial corridor of Lakeside Village on Ocean Avenue, I recently discovered this cute restaurant called Lucho’s. They are a Mexican restaurant highlighting the flavors of the Yucatan as well as American-Californian cuisine. I was in search of coffee, and spotted Café de Olla (Mexican coffee) on the menu. Café de Olla is made with black coffee, cinnamon, anise, clove, brown cane sugar, and orange zest. It was a delicious seasonal treat.
House coffee is also available if you prefer something less sweet. I’ll definitely be coming back soon to try the food menu. The pineapple upside down pancakes especially caught my eye!
